Plainville Man Loses $4,000, Foxborough Woman Returns It

A Foxborough woman came through for a Plainville man after finding his wallet and $4,000 in cash he lost.

PLAINVILLE, MA — Friday was like any other day for STP Plastering operator Stephen Pomfred. Like every other Friday, he took his receipts to the bank but unlike other Fridays, his wallet and $4,000 were gone when he arrived.

What he did not know as he searched his truck and home was that his wallet fell out of his pocket, landed on the runner of his truck, and then flew off into Route 1A. Thinking the cash was gone forever, it was a Foxborough woman named Trish Santos who showed up, wallet and cash in hand. She told the Sun Chronicle that she saw the money flaying around and she picked it up.

She was able to find all $4,000, bringing much relief to Pomfred.
