Police Log: Trying to Enter the Wrong Car, Robbery Leads to Warrant Arrest, and More

December 10

6:48 a.m. - A motor vehicle accident was reported on Cocasset Street by East Belcher Street. After police responded, Francine Howard, 46, of Norfolk, was arrested and charged with an OUI liquor, a marked lanes violation, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

5:37 p.m - A caller reported a robbery at America’s Best Value Inn on Route 1. While investigating, police arrested Amy Coia, 36, of Walpole, with a court warrant for being a fugitive from justice.

December 11

12:08 a.m. - A caller on Glenwood Avenue reported a female that attempted to enter his vehicle parked in his driveway. The caller told police that the female entered another vehicle which was parked in the same area. When police responded, Laura O’Connor, 38, of Mansfield was arrested and charged with an OUI liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

11:16 p.m. - During a motor vehicle stop on Washington Street, Cody Penton, 21, of Waltham, was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to stop/yield.

December 12

During a police detail at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, the following people were taken into custody:

  • A 21-year-old male from Sherborn was placed in protective custody.
  • A 21-year-old male from Hadley was placed in protective custody.
  • A 21-year-old male from Dover was placed in protective custody.
  • Daragh Leavey, 41, of Norwood, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
  • A 36-year-old female from Norwood was placed in protective custody.
