Quaker Hill School to be Demolished
The unused school at the corner of West and South Streets needs to come down, according to Town Manager Bill Keegan.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — The decades-old Quaker Hill School is will likely be demolished, according to Town Manager Bill Keegan.
Tuesday, Keegan told the board that the one-room school is in such poor condition that it needs to be razed. The Town Manager discussed the issue with the Historical Commission prior to the meeting with the selectmen.
“We’re at a point where that building needs to come down,” Keegan said.

Once the school is taken down, Keegan said he would like to see the town create a pocket park at the site, located at the corner of West and South Streets. The park would include a flag pole, benches, and a stone marker for the school.
“(The Historical Commission) actually thought it was a good idea. We haven’t identified the source of the funds but I think we can get the building down,” he said.
