Revenue at Plainridge Park Casino Drops

New numbers from the state Gaming Commission shows decreasing revenue at the slot casino.

After a strong opening, revenue has dropped significantly at Plainridge Park Casino in Plainville.

In September, the casino earned $12.6 million in gross gaming revenue according to the state Gaming Commission. The figure works out to $280 in revenue per machine for the month, down from an average of $390 per machine in July, according to the Boston Globe. The new numbers raise questions about whether the slots casino can earn $200 million in revenue, as projected by the state Gaming Commission.

Through their first quarter, Plainridge grossed $46 million, which puts them on pace for $184 million for a full year.
