Reward Offered for Info on Stretched-out Wires in Foxborough Forest

FOXBOROUGH, MA - A cash reward has been offered for any information on stretched-out wires that were found in local state forests, including Foxborough.
The New England Trail Rider Association is offering $500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for stringing wires across trails in Massachusetts state forests.
"NETRA is dedicated to safe and responsible motorized use of trails and stands in partnership with local and state authorities as they work to apprehend the culprit(s) of these very dangerous crimes," the group wrote in a press release.

This week, bike riders were warned to watch out for the wires. The Massachusetts Environmental Police and the Department of Conservation and Recreation posted warnings at the state forest after receiving several reports about the wires. Aside from Foxborough, other wires were found in state parks in Franklin, Wrentham, and Freetown
Anyone with information on this matter should notify the Environmental Police Dispatch Center at 1-800-632-8075.
