Rob Gronkowski said he's fully committed to his retirement from football. And yes, he said, that includes if Tom Brady comes calling.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Rob Gronkowski is no stranger to rumors about his retirement. But, now that he's done it again, the likely first-ballot Hall of Famer says he's committed to staying off the field as a player.

ESPN's Mike Reiss recently spoke with Gronk at an Ice Shaker Bottle event in Boston, and asked him if he'd consider returning this year.

"I'm done with football," he said. "Love the game and definitely blessed with all the opportunities the game of football has given me ... stepping my feet into the business world, business ventures, and just seeing what's out there and where I can find my place."

This comes about a month after the tight end announced he'd be stepping away from the game after playing two seasons in Tampa Bay.

In response to that news, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Gronkowski's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said a call from Tom Brady could potentially sway that decision.

Gronk shot that down during his interview with Reiss.

"I would obviously answer the greatest quarterback of all time and ask him how he's doing, tell him I'm doing good, but I wouldn't go back to football, no," Gronk said.
