Rob Gronkowski Suspended Upheld
Gronkowski's appeal was denied and he is out of Monday's game against the Miami Dolphins.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — If Rob Gronkowski wants to throw late elbows at his opponents, the NFL is not the place to do it. The NFL suspended the Patriots tight end Monday for one game for a hit in Sunday's game that looked more appropriate for a professional wrestling match than a football game. His appeal was heard and denied on Tuesday, meaning that he is out of Monday's game against the Miami Dolphins.
Gronkowski delivered a late hit on Tre'Davious White late in the fourth quarter of the Patriots' 23-3 win over the Buffalo Bills. White had just intercepted a pass intended for Gronkowski. White, who was placed into concussion protocol following the hit, was on the ground and facing away from Gronkowski.
Gronkowski was not ejected from the game. After the game, he apologized for the hit, calling it a moment of frustration. Gronkowski said years of being officiated differently because of his size got to him.

It's the first suspension of Gronkowski's career since entering the league in 2010 as a second-round pick of the Patriots. He's been fined three times before, twice for taunting and once for unsportsmanlike conduct.
