Route 495 Exit to Route 1 in Plainville to Close May 10

Effective Sunday, May 10, 2015, the ramp from Interstate 495 Southbound to Route 1 Southbound (Exit 14B) will be closed as part of the Plainridge Park Casino Project. The ramp will reopen by Friday, May 15, 2015.

Traffic trying to access Route 1 Southbound (Washington Street) from Route 495 Southbound will be detoured south approximately 1,600 feet to Exit 14A (Route 1 northbound). Traffic will follow detour signs from the exit onto Route 1 Northbound to the Interstate 495 Northbound On-Ramp. Traffic will then continue on Interstate 495 Northbound for approximately 750 feet and take the Off-Ramp at Exit 14B to Route 1 Southbound.
