Selectmen Meeting Halted for Medical Emergency

A sudden medical incident stopped the meeting Tuesday night.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Tuesday's selectmen's meeting in the Foxborough High School media center came to a halt after a sudden medical emergency.

During a public hearing for next month's Bruce Springsteen concert at Gillette Stadium, a man in the room suddenly became ill. Several members of the Foxborough Fire Department, who were at the meeting for an earlier pinning ceremony were able to assist the man.

The man, whose name is not being published due to privacy concerns, was awake and talking, according to Fire Chief Roger Hatfield. He was transported to a nearby hospital.
