A Smooth Transition For New Building Commissioner
Nicholas Riccio formally introduced himself to the selectmen last Tuesday

FOXBOROUGH, MA — New Building Commissioner Nicholas Riccio may be an unfamiliar sight around Town Hall, but his reputation was well known before he became Bill Casbarra's successor.
Riccio formally introduced himself to the selectmen last Tuesday. He comes to Foxborough from Wrentham, where he had the same position. He also served as a building commissioner in Mansfield and was the state building commissioner for a short period.
Riccio said the transition has been smooth, praising the department and those he works with.

The new guy at Town Hall also has great reviews from those who have worked with him.
“I talked to some other inspectors who know him and the reviews were very encouraging,” selectmen Chairman David Feldman said.

Selectman Jim DeVellis said he’s worked with Riccio in the past and asked him to apply for the town manager opening in 2013. Riccio declined, citing his desire to state away from politics.
“I’ve heard good things from people in the trades who have dealt with you. Very clear, very thorough. They said they enjoyed working with you,” Selectmen Ginny Coppola said.
Riccio takes over for Casbarra, who Riccio called a giant of their industry. Casbarra retired earlier this month.
