Splitsville and Howl at the Moon Celebrate Patriot Place Opening

The newest addition to Patriot Place held their VIP Kickoff Party to celebrate their opening.

The red carpet was out, the dueling pianos were rocking, and some of Foxborough’s best athletes were hitting the bowling lanes as Splitsville and Howl at the Moon held their VIP kickoff party for their Patriot Place location.

“This is by far and away the coolest bowling place in New England, there’s nothing like it. It’s not that traditional 12 lanes in a row and bar in the back. It’s a wide open beautiful space with cool lanes and the Howl at the Moon dueling band,” New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft said.

Open since Aug. 15, the luxury bowling alley features 12 lanes of bowling, a full dining menu, and live entertainment from Howl at the Moon on the weekends.

Many members of the Patriots and Revolution were on hand to bowl, if not to gain bragging rights among their teammates.

“I have some pretty good bowling skills. There’s not much to do up here in the winter so I took up bowling,” Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski.

Since coming to the Patriots, Gostkowski told reporters took up bowling, even playing in a league a few years ago at North Lanes in North Attleboro. Like most, if not everyone in attendance, the kicker was impressed with the newest addition to Patriot Place

“I’m digging the vibe, it’s a great atmosphere. We get to come here after a win, forget about football, and get our minds off of everything,” Gostkowski said.

The establishment was notable for the fourth month fight needed to obtain a liquor license from the Foxborough Board of Selectmen. Originally denied the license on a controversial 3-2 vote by the board in November, the license was granted to Splitsville on a 4-1 vote in March, but not after a battle that included many concessions by Splitsville and the Kraft Group to satisfy the board’s dissenting members and multiple open meeting law accusations aimed at selectmen Ginny Coppola and Lorraine Brue.

Located near Skipjacks and across from Dunkin’ Donuts, Splitsville Luxury Lanes is open every day from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
