State Police: Enhanced Security, But No Connection to Person of Interest in NYC, NJ Bombing
In the wake of an explosion in Manhattan, police are enhancing security for public transit and Thursday's Patriots game.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Amid an investigation into explosions in New York and New Jersey, State Police will have an increased presence at transit stations and Thursday night's Patriots game at Gillette Stadium, though they stress there is no connection between Massachusetts and the person of interest in the explosions.
Troopers will increase frequency of patrols through public transit stations and regional transportation centers within their barracks jurisdictions, to supplement Transit Police.
While there is no known connection between Ahmad Khan Rahami and Massachusetts, state police also announced Monday that they will enhance security operations for this Thursday’s Patriots game at Gillette Stadium, as they did before Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins. The enhancements are in addition to current procedures.
