Students Delight at Ahern Band Concert
Ahern students performed in their annual band concert on May 24.
6th and 7th grade Ahern Middle School students delighted family members and faculty last evening, May 24, at their annual band concert.
Students showed off their technical music skills and concepts learned in school this year. Musical concepts covered in the classroom included Counting time and rhythm, Cycle of 4ths, Spelling of 12 major scales, Chromatic Scale, Dynamics, Blend and Balance and endurance.
Ted Hagarty conducts the 6th and 7th grade concert bands in Foxborough and teaches instrumental music in grades 5-8. He has introduced and developed an Electronic Music Lab at the Middle School.

Hagarty is also the co-founder of the Foxboro Summer Instrumental Music Camp and has served as a director for the past 23 years. The Summer Instrumental Music Program will be held from July 5 through July 22 at the Ahern Middle School for students in grades 5 through 9.
