Sturdy Hospital announces support group schedule for May.

 

Sturdy Memorial Hospital offers support groups on a variety of topics throughout the year. The groups are free and open to the public. The following are scheduled for May 2012:

Prostate Cancer Support Group – Wednesday, May 2, from 7-8:30 p.m. in Conference Rooms A, B & C.  For more information, call the Oncology Department at 508-236-7010.

Breastfeeding Support Group – Tuesday, May 8, from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in the Clinical Education Center.  For more information, call Nursing Administration at 508-236-7151.

Partners and Caregivers of Patients with Cancer Support Group – Wednesday, May 9, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Conference Room A.  For more information, call the Oncology Department at 508-236-7010.

Stroke Support Group – Thursday, May 10, from 10–11:30 a.m. in the Clinical Education Center.  The topic of discussion will be Impacts of Stroke on Personality & Socialization presented by Cara Burdette, MS, CC-SLP, Speech Pathologist at Sturdy Memorial Hospital. Cancer Support Group – Tuesday, May 15, from 7–8:30 p.m. in conference rooms A, B and C.  For more information, call the Oncology Department at 508-236-7010.

Diabetes Support Group – Wednesday, May 23, from 7 – 8:30 p.m. in the auditorium. The topic of discussion will be Diabetes and Sleep Apnea, presented by Denise Cuneo, RRT, Director of Respiratory Care at Sturdy Memorial Hospital.  For more information, call Nursing Administration at 508-236-7166.
