Survivor Update: Bad News for Val, Jeremy Goes to Exile Island

Find out how the Collins did in this week on Survivor!

Editor’s Note: The following article contains spoilers from the Oct. 1 episode of Survivor.

For the Collins, episode two of Survivor was certainly not the best of times. With Jeremy getting sent to Exile Island and Val getting sent home, only a single Collins remains after two weeks of episodes.

After John Rocker lost to his girlfriend in the reward challenge, the former baseball player chose to take Jeremy with him to Exile Island.

“It’s not a happy place. It’s desolate, it’s dry, it’s not a good place. And the icing on the cake is, I’m stuck with John Rocker,” Jeremy said after having to go to the island.

While Jeremy admitted to remembering Rocker’s controversial comments on his experience in New York City in a 1999 issue of Sports Illustrated, he was willing to share a clue for an immunity idol with the ex-MLB player in order to make sure Rocker would look out for Val.

Over at the Coyopa Tribe, Val was feeling the heat as she felt she could be the next one out of the tribe. The situation became critical for Val after the tribe lost their second immunity challenge in a row.

With an alliance against Val and Bailey developing, and Rocker informing Val of at least three votes again her, Val tried to bluff her way out of the situation, claiming she had found two immunity idols.

Things were hearted at the tribal hearing with Val accusing Bailey of being out to get her and Wes daring Val to use one of the idols she claimed she had.

The bluffing almost worked, but a 4-4 vote between Val and Bailey meant a new vote that did not go in Val’s favor.

“I feel like I played big moves considering that I was not with the tribes for two days. I think Jeremy not seeing me with the tribe will be a shock but it will inspire him,” Val said after the vote.

Next week, tensions elevate as Rocker’s past is exposed and Jeremy reminds his tribe of the former Atlanta Braves pitcher’s comments about the diversity of the New York City subway system.
