Survivor Update: Foxborough's Jeremy Collins Earns Immunity

In addition, the tribe said goodbye to Collins' top rival.

To survive episode eight of Survivor: San Juan del Sur — Blood vs. Water, Foxborough’s Jeremy Collins needed every break plus immunity to guarantee a continued stay in the game.

A successful immunity challenge later, Collins saw his top rival Josh out of the game with his alliance coming though in the clutch.

Questions of whether Collins would be voted out of the game this week were quickly put to rest when the Foxborough resident bested the tribe in the challenge which consisted of repeating a Simon-style game where the contestants had to use a cube to repeat a pattern of symbols displayed by host Jeff Probst.

Increasing the drama, the finals came down to Collins and Josh, with Collins earning the immunity necklace.

With Jeremy remaining in the game, Josh’s alliance shifted their focused to eliminating Baylor but still needed votes from Jon and Jaclyn.

Acting as the swing votes, the pair were set to vote with Josh but with Jaclyn upset with the most of the men’s behavior and rudeness while Jon was on Exile Island, a switch to Collins’ alliance became more likely.

“They’re just rude and they’re not even trying to hide it. They’re laughing about it. As a firefighter we act like that in the firehouse but as soon as a woman is in the room, you shut it down,” Collins said about the men.

In the end, Josh was voted out of the game on a 6-5 vote, removing one of the two top contestants in the game.

Josh’s exit leaves one of the alliances leaderless, making Probst wonder if the vote was a line being drawn in the sand or the start of a whole new game.

Survivor airs on CBS on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m.
