Tom Brady Appeal Testimony Released
457 pages of documents from the Patriots quarterback's appeal hearing is now available to read.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady said that he was not told he would be disciplined for not handing over his phone according to the transcript of his appeal hearing for his four-game suspension.
In a 457-page transcript released Tuesday night, Brady maintained his innocence, stating that he never tampered with game-day footballs or told anyone else to adjust or tamper with the balls after they were approved by officials.
The transcript was filed by the NFL Players Association on Tuesday in Manhattan federal court according to ESPN Boston. Due to Brady’s refusal to hand over requested documents, Wells said that he could not believe that Brady had nothing to do with the scandal that would become “Deflategate.”

Wells said he did not want Brady’s phone but wanted someone trusted by Brady to obtain the relevant information. Lawyers for Brady advised him to not hand over the requested information.
Brady was suspended for four games after the Wells Report concluded that it was more probable than not that the Patriots quarterback was aware of an effort to deflate game day balls under league standards.

The Patriots were also stripped of two draft picks and fined $1 million.
After the appeal decision was released in July, both sides went to federal court. Brady and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell are expected to appear in court during the NFL preseason and were advised by U.S. District Judge Richard Berman to work out a settlement.
