Twenty8 Sweeps Patriot Place Chili Bowl Cook Off

Event raises more than $3,000 for the Hockomock Area YMCA's Reach Out For Youth & Families Campaign

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – The fifth annual Patriot Place Chili Bowl Cook Off presented by Bass Pro Shops crowned a new chili champion and raised more than $3,000, a new fundraising high, for the Hockomock Area YMCA’s Reach Out For Youth and Families Campaign on Saturday, April 2.

Twenty8 Food & Spirits, located inside the Renaissance Boston Patriot Place Hotel, took home both the judges’ award and the popular vote in the chili competition, which pitted the restaurant against eight other Patriot Place eateries, including Blue Fin Lounge, CBS Scene Restaurant & Bar, Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Skipjack’s Seafood Restaurant, Splitsville Luxury Lanes™, Tavolino Pizza Gourmet and Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill.

Cast members of National Geographic’s hit TV series, “Wicked Tuna,” including captains Billy “Hollywood” Muniz and Paul Hebert, returned as celebrity judges. They were joined by former Patriots offensive lineman Peter Brock, Foxborough Building Commissioner Bill Casbarra and Foxborough Assistant Town Manager Mary Beth Bernard.
