Upside Down Deer in Foxborough Saved by Animal Rescue League

The ARL says the deer got stuck in a tight spot between two fences.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — A deer that found itself stuck in a tight spot was saved thanks to the Animal Rescue League of Boston.

At about 9:30 a.m. Monday morning, Foxborough Animal Control reported a deer that was trapped between two eight-foot fences that funneled into an enclosure on Mechanic Street. The ARL says the width of the area where the deer was trapped was 5-12 inches wide.

Making matters worse, in a panic to get free, the deer ended up upside-down and wedged in the tight space. Responders removed a section of fence and with some assistance, the deer was able to roll over, stand up, and walk, the ARL said.
