New England Revolution opens up home season against Portland Saturday.

There will be a lot of opportunity to get out and have some fun this weekend.
FRIDAY, MARCH 23

-WODS' Joe Cortese will be playing the music of the '80s at CBS Scene at 8 p.m.
-The Fools and The Stompers with Flashcubes will be performing at Showcase Live. General admission is $25 and $50 VIP. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

-Improv Soup, the Un-Common Theatre's improvisational comedy troupe, is performing at the Burrell School at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. The troupe is made of local teens. SATURDAY, MARCH 24
-Soccer Doubleheader at Gillette Stadium. At 1 p.m., the Brasil National Women's Team will Face Canada, followed by the New England Revolution's season home opener against the Portland Timbers at 4 p.m. Tickets range from $22 to $66.
-The Seven River District Cub Scouts' Pinewood Derby will be held at Bass Pro Shop. The racing starts at 11 a.m. and the finals will be at 5 p.m.
-The Next Door Gallary and Happy Hollow Frace Shop will be holding an artists reception at 7 p.m. There will be live jazz.
-Zeppelin Zone will be performing at Showcase Live at 9 a.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
SUNDAY, March 25
-Tedy's Team Quilt Raffle is ongoing at Bass Pro Shop. It is on display and you can see all the athletes who have signed the quilt.
