FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – Outdoor ice skating returned to Patriot Place for a sixth season Friday with the opening of Winter Skate presented by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
Decorated New England junior figure skaters Jamiesen Cyr, 12, and Tori Rotella, 13, kicked off the rink opening with memorable performances. Cyr performed to a music medley from the movie, “Dreamgirls” and Rotella performed to “Take Five” by Dave Brubeck.
Patriots Cheerleaders and team mascot Pat Patriot took the ice to skate with guests while DJ Manny entertained the crowd with the latest hits in music. AMP Radio and MIX 104.1 street teams joined in on the fun throughout the night. Those who donated a new or gently used coat to Cradles to Crayons received a free night of skating. Winter Skate will continue to collect coat donations for the rest of the season as part of the Cradles to Crayons Coat Drive at Patriot Place. Those who donate will receive $2 off admission.
