Your Favorite Holiday Characters Come To Life On Stage at the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro!

Looking for something fun and exciting to do with the kids this holiday season? Amidst all the classic winter activities like drinking hot cocoa, visiting Santa, and flying down the hill on the sled, don’t forget to come on out and join the Bay Colony Performing Arts Academy for a weekend of theatre, music, and dance at the Orpheum Theatre in Foxboro!

If you like singing, smiling, and eating pasta with maple syrup (well… maybe not that last one!), be sure to join us for Elf, Jr. on Friday, December 16th at 7:00 pm! Based on the beloved holiday movie of the same name, Elf tells the story of Buddy, a human raised by elves who goes on a journey to reunite with his human dad and helps all of New York City discover their Christmas spirit! Only a cotton-headed-ninny-muggins would miss this one!

On Saturday, December 16th at 10:00 am we’ll kick off a day of theatre with a magic carpet ride that will take you to visit our Broadway Babies (Pre-K & Kindergarten) and Broadway Beginnings (Grades 1-2) students as they put their own special spins on the holiday classics Frosty the Snowman and How the Grinch Stole Christmas! After that, the journey continues on to Agrabah where you’ll join Aladdin, Jasmine, the Genie, and all of your other favorite friends from Aladdin in a story filled with magic, adventure, and lots of singing and dancing presented by our Grades 3-5 musical theatre class! Come check out your favorite classic cartoon characters live onstage!

Our Competition Teams, Dance students, and Acting students will perform in our annual Winter Wonderland Showcase on Saturday, December 16th at 4:00 pm! This variety-show style presentation will feature excerpts from A Christmas Carol, dances in the style of The Rockettes, seasonal favorites such as “Once Upon A December”, and upbeat holiday parodies like “All About That Neis”! So, if you’re looking for a different kind of holiday celebration, come on down and let us entertain you!

Our day of theatrical-fun will take its final bow with Fame, Jr. on Saturday, December 16th at 7:30 pm! Follow the students of New York City’s High School of the Performing Arts in their journey for friendship, love, and, of course, fame! If you’ve ever wondered what it took to become a star, now is your chance to get a backstage peek!

All performances will be held at the Orpheum Theatre, located at 1 School Street in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
