2 Dead After Motorcycle, Car Crash on Route 9
A Framingham man is among two who died in a crash on Saturday.

A Fourth of July evening crash involving a motorcycle and a car on Route 9 in Shrewsbury left two dead and one injured.
Police, the Shrewsbury Fire Department and UMass EMC responded at 6:24 p.m. to reports of a crash at 882 Boston Turnpike (Route 9) in the area of Shrewsbury Commons.
Two traveled on a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Route 9 and collided with the rear of a 2010 Toyota Corolla, which was traveling east on Route 9, said police.

The motorcycle tumbled, then slid and exited the roadway. The female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene and the operator was transported to UMass Medical Center, where he did not survive. The driver of the Corolla was uninjured.
Darius R. Theriault, 27, from Framingham and Victoria M. Tucker, 22, from Woburn died in the crash.

The Shrewsbury Police shut down Route 9 for several hours during its investigation. Libo Chen, 28, from Shrewsbury operated the Corolla.
Accident Reconstructionists Sgt. Michael O’Connor of the Shrewsbury Police Department and Officer Cliff Luce of the Westborough Police Department are investigating along with The Office of Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr. Officer Matthew Caola of the Shrewsbury Police assisted. The accident remains under investigation.
