FRAMINGHAM, MA — Record scratch, school can't be just around the corner can it? As the summer comes to an end, you'll want to mark your calendars for August 28 — the first day of school for Framingham students.
Between back to school shopping, gathering school supplies and enjoying the last bit of summer, Patch knows it can be hard to find time to check those important school dates, so we've got you covered. Here are five key dates to keep in mind as the school year gets fired up:
First Day of School: For grades 1-12 Aug. 28 is the first day of school (9th grade orientation is the day before) and for Kindergarteners the first day of school is August 29. BLOCKS starts school a bit later on September 3.

Thanksgiving Recess: Nov. 28-29 Note: Nov. 27 is an Early Release Day.
Winter Recess: Dec. 23- Jan. 1

Last Day of School: June 24, last day with five snow days included.
