5 Things You Need To Know Today: June 20
Opening of Framingham's 3 beaches, unveiling of 2 new beers in Framingham, including a 2nd Anniversary Lager from Jack's Abby and Farmers Market on the common all featured in today's column.

1. The town's trio of public beaches open today. Saxonville Beach on Lake Road, Learneds Pond on Lower Shawmut Terrace, and Lake Waushakum on Nipmuc Road will open at 10 a.m. . Lifeguards will be on duty from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.. seven days a week.
2. Framingham Farmers Market will be open today on the Framingham Centre Common from noon to 5:30 p.m. In the community outreach tent this week is the Learning Center for the Deaf.

4. Jack's Abby Brewing began bottling its 2nd anniversary beer this week. The Double India Pale Lager with Mosaic, Amarillo, Apollo, Citra, Calypso and Simcoe hops can be purchased at the Framingham-based brewery beginning at 3 p.m. today.
5. John Harvard's Brew House will hold a launch party for its latest beer: The Beer of Revelations tonight from 7-9. There are just 50 tickets available for the party at $11.99 each. Call ahead and make a reservation.
