$5,000 MutualOne Foundation Award for Amazing Things Web Project

The grant will help fund a branding project that is part of the organization's long-term strategy for sustainability and growth.

Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Charitable Foundation trustee, has announced a $5,000 Foundation grant to the Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham.

The grant will help fund a branding/website project that is part of the organization’s long-term strategy for sustainability and growth, according to Joe Fredette, chair of the Amazing Things Arts Center board of directors.

“Amazing Things offers residents from throughout MetroWest a unique chance to experience the local cultural climate,” said Sousa. “Its success also plays an important role in Framingham’s goal for revitalizing the downtown area, which is another reason we are pleased to help support the project.”

The grant to Amazing Things Arts Center was among awards totaling $63,375 in the MutualOne Charitable Foundation’s most recent round of funding.

Since it was established in 1998, the Framingham-based Foundation has donated over $2.8 million to charitable, educational, and civic initiatives that improve and enhance the quality of life in Framingham, Natick, and surrounding communities.
