6 a.m. Thanksgiving Workout to Benefit Two Women Battling Breast Cancer

MetroWest Bootcamp will hold its 5th Annual Thanksgiving Fundraiser on Thursday.

In 2014, Kelly Sansossio discovered she was pregnant with her third child. But 11 weeks into that pregnancy, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.

Sansossio is one of the two recipients of MetroWest Bootcamp’s 2014 Thanksgiving fundraiser on Thanksgiving morning in Framingham.

The other woman the fundraiser will benefit is Framingham resident Debbie Postizzi, who is the mother of the fitness company’s favorite handyman, Dave Appleton.

Appleton had his first date with fiancee Kristin Gerard at the Bootcamp’s 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Day fundraiser in 2012. They are scheduled to be married in 2015.

This is the 5th year MetroWest Bootcamp is holding a fundraiser to help local women.

On Thanksgiving morning, at 6 a.m. bootcampers, friends, and random strangers will leave their toasty, warm beds and make their way to the Saxonville studio for a workout. The cost is $20 per person. $50 maximum per family. And 100 percent of all proceeds will go to Sansossio and Postizzi.

Today, Kelly and her husband have added Camilla “Milly” to their family. Milly joins big brothers Grady and Griffen. Sansossio started chemotherapy,16 weeks into her pregnancy, and still continues treatments.

She grew up in Natick and now lives in Norfolk with her family. To read more about Kelly’s journey with cancer, read her Caringbridge page.

Postizzi was diagnosed with breast cancer this summer. The life-long Framingham resident is the mother of 2 and grandmother to five. She is currently undergoing grueling chemo treatments.
