AAA: Gas Prices 60 Cents Lower Than December 2013
Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down 7 cents from last week and have fallen each week for the last three months, according to AAA.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down 7 cents from last week and have fallen each week for the last three months, according to AAA Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham on Route 9.
AAA’s Dec. 8 survey of prices in Massachusetts found self-serve, regular unleaded averaging $2.78 per gallon, down seven cents from last week.
Prices locally are 18 cents lower than a month ago.

The current price is 11 cents more than the national average for self serve unleaded of $2.67.
A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was 63 cents higher at $3.41.

“Today’s dramatic price drop is another holiday gift to consumers. With less money going into the tank, motorists have more much-needed cash at a time when they can certainly use it,” said Mary Maguire, Director of Public and Legislative Affairs at AAA Southern New England, in a press release.
The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 46 cents, from a low of $2.63 to a high of $3.09. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every trip, every time.
