AAA: Gas Prices Down 3 Cents

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 38 cents, from a low of $3.31 to a high of $3.69.

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts down three cents this week, good news for 
motorists just in time for the busy holiday weekend, according to the latest survey from AAA of Southern New England, which has an office in Framingham. 

AAA’s July 1 unleaded averaging $3.45 per gallon, three cents lower than last week. Prices locally are down a nickel over the past month.

The current price is three cents less than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.48. A year ago at this time the Massachusetts average price was nine cents lower at $3.36.

AAA Fuel Saving Tip of the Week: Most air conditioners have an “economy” or “recirculation” setting that reduces the amount of outside air that must be chilled. Both settings can reduce the airconditioning load – and save gas.
