AAA: Gas Prices Down 6 Cents

Gasoline prices in Massachusetts are down six cents from last week, according to AAA Southern New England, mirroring a national downward trend despite high-profile conflicts in overseas oil-producing countries and declining domestic refinery production.
AAA’s 12 survey showed gas prices averaging $3.50 per gallon, down six cents from last week, according to a press release from AAA Southern New England.
Prices locally are 17 cents lower than a month ago, according to AAA Southern New England, who has an office in Framingham on Route 9.

The current price is three cents more than the national average for self serve unleaded of $3.47.

The range in prices in the latest AAA survey for unleaded regular is 62 cents, from a low of $3.27 to a high of $3.89. AAA advises motorists to shop around for the best prices in their area, and to make sure they and their passengers buckle up — every trip-every time.
