Active Framingham Coronavirus Cases Drop Below 100

Framingham has had more than 100 active coronavirus cases for more than three months.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — For the first time since early April, Framingham has fewer than 100 active coronavirus cases, city officials said Wednesday.

The number of active cases in the city dropped to 79 on Wednesday, down from the 110 active cases reported on Monday. Framingham's active cases jumped over the 100 mark on April 6. The number of active cases peaked around May 6 with over 800 cases.

Dating back to March, a total of 1,558 Framingham residents have tested positive for the virus, with 118 deaths.

There were still 73 city residents who have been quarantined for exposure to the virus as of Wednesday, according to health officials.
