Air Force Veteran, Postal Worker Paul Saletnik Dies of Pancreatic Cancer
Visiting Hours are Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home; Mass Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Stephen Church.

Paul M. Saletnik, 66, of Framingham, died, this weekend at his home.
During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Air Force. And for more than 34 years, until his retirement earlier in 2012, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Framingham.

Born and raised in Framingham, he was the son of the late Michael J. and Marguerite (Ayoob) Saletnik. He died on Sept. 1, 2012. He had been battling pancreatic cancer.
He was a graduate of and College.

During his free time he was an avid model train enthusiast.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl S. Izuta and her husband Tatsushi of Natick and Brett M. Saletnik and his wife Julie of Bellingham, two grandchildren, Nicholas M. and Karina A. Saletnik. He is also survived by his sister Kathryn Saletnik of Framingham, his special friend Rebekah J. Jablonski and several cousins.
Visiting hours will be at Wednesday, Sept 5 from 5-8 p.m.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Thursday, Sept. 6, at 9:00 a.m. at Norton Funeral Home followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in . Burial will follow at in Framingham.
Bill Lynch, President of the National Association of Letter Carriers Branch 334 of Framingham, said the local post office is planning a special tribute to Saletnik.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in his memory may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
