FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham is looking for people to fill volunteer roles on a wide variety of city boards and committees.

More than 30 of these public bodies have vacancies (see below) and the number of open positions will total roughly 100 as of June 30, according to the city's website.

In general, members must be Framingham residents, and there may be additional requirements for joining some of the panels.

“Serving on a board, commission or committee gives residents a voice in government and opportunity to contribute unique perspectives and enhance the processes of democracy,” the Framingham website says.

However, the city notes, “Although we wish we had a spot for everyone, applying does not guarantee an appointment to one of the multimember bodies.”

The current deadline to apply is May 15, and more information can be found here.
