FRAMINGHAM, MA — Police last week arrested two men in connection with a gunshot report, as well as numerous other charges.
While on patrol May 19, Framingham Police Officer Brian Conner spotted the men and realized they might be involved in the recent gun-firing incident, a statement said. After an investigation, both men were arrested and found to possess loaded handguns.
Neither man was identified. Both were charged with possession of a firearm without a license, possession of ammunition without a federal identification card, and carrying a loaded firearm without a license.
One of the men also faces an allegation of discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building.
“Great work by Officer Conner and the Bureau of Investigations on day shift,” the police department said in its statement.
Framingham police have recently made other gun-related arrests.
“Because of the vigilance of our officers,” the department said, “four guns have been taken off the streets of Framingham this week.”
