Today's riddle: What did the wall say to the other wall. 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. Framingham Police Seeking Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run (patch.com) — Framingham residents are being asked to help police identify the driver of a gray 2016 Volkswagen GTI involved in a fatal hit-and-run on Irving near Alexander Street Sunday night. A 39-year-old pedestrian died after being taken to MetroWest Medical Center, and investigators are urging anyone with information or who witnessed the crash to contact the Framingham Police Bureau of Investigative Services.
2. Bank of America Branch Closures Now Surge Before Year Ends (franknez.com) — A Bank of America branch at 41 Beacon Street in Framingham is slated to close by year's end as part of a nationwide round of shutdowns. The move reflects the bank's shift toward digital services, which could mean longer trips for residents—especially older customers—who still rely on in-person banking. Other major banks are making similar cuts as the economy slows.
3. Chick-fil-A proposes restaurant for Natick. Where it wants to build (metrowestdailynews.com) — A new Chick-fil-A is being proposed for the Natick Mall's Macy's parking lot, just about a mile from the existing location in Framingham's Shoppers World. The plan, now before Natick's Planning Board, details a 5,000-square-foot restaurant with a two-lane drive-thru, outdoor seating, and the loss of 111 mall parking spaces while raising questions about local benefits and zoning waivers.
4. Born 56 Years Ago Today in Massachusetts, the Tim McGraw Protégé With Six No. 1 Hits and a Place in Country Music History (americansongwriter.com) — Country star Jo Dee Messina, who was born in Framingham in 1970, is marking her 56th birthday with a new album after a decades-long run of hits. The piece looks back on her rise from Massachusetts clubs to Nashville success, her financial and personal struggles, and her recent return with the 2026 release of "Bridges."
