Ashland Driver Crashes Onto Boston MBTA Tracks

The MBTA police said charges will be sought against the 22-year-old driver after their car ended up on the Museum of Fine Arts stop tracks.

BOSTON, MA — An Ashland driver could be facing charges after their car ended up wrecked on the tracks at the Museum of Fine Arts stop in Boston.

The MBTA Transit Police said the crash happened around midnight on Monday when a 22-year-old "traveling at high rate of speed" hit a traffic pole after blowing through a red light.

Photos included in the news release show the car with damage to the front end sitting on the tracks at the Boston stop.

Police said they would seek a number of charges against the driver. No one was injured in the crash.
