Ashland Station To Reopen This Weekend
Shuttle buses between Framingham and Ashland are a thing of the past starting on Saturday, with Ashland Station set to reopen.

ASHLAND, MA — The Ashland MBTA station will reopen on Saturday after receiving $2.5 million worth of renovations and repairs in 2023.
Ashland Station was closed on Aug. 26 with work scheduled through the fall of 2023, though it took through December to complete. Work included a complete restoration of the pedestrian overpass, platform resurfacing, the installation of digital signage and more.
While renovations were performed at Ashland Station, those who needed to get from Framingham Station to Ashland Station were moved via shuttle bus, something that's set to end after Friday.

At the time, officials acknowledged the inconvenience of the shuttles, but said the improvements would be worth it in the long run.
"I am grateful to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) for moving forward with these vital improvements to the Ashland Commuter Rail Station and for my steadfast and successful partnership with Town Manager Michael Herbert, the Ashland Select Board, and Senate President Karen Spilka," said State Representative Jack Patrick Lewis.

Ashland and Framingham Stations are along the Framingham/Worcester line, which is also seeing renovations to the Natick Center station.
