Assault Near Cushing Memorial Park Leaves 1 Bloodied
Police arrested three after a man reported his was assaulted with a gun, which turned out to be a starter-pistol.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Police arrested three people in connection with a Wednesday morning assault near Cushing Memorial Park, authorities said.
Police responded to a report at about 10:55 a.m. of a person bleeding from the head at the Farm Pond parking area at 55 Dudley Road near the the entrance to Cushing Memorial Park. Police treated the victim, who said he was assaulted by someone who he knew. The person struck him in the head with a gun, the victim told police.
Police located the suspect's vehicle and three people alleged to be involved in the assault. All three were arrested. (Keep up on Framingham news and subscribe to Patch!)

Police found a starter-pistol, which was identified as the weapon allegeldy used in the assault.
Police say the victim and suspects knew each other and had planned to meet at the location. There is no threat or risk to the public, police say.
