Big Union Avenue Detour In Framingham This Week
Beginning Nov. 11, cars will be detoured off Union Avenue in the downtown area due to utility work.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A utility project along Union Avenue in downtown Framingham will ramp up this week, with traffic being diverted off the road 24 hours per day, according to the public works department.
Starting Nov. 11, southbound vehicles will be detoured for the length of the project, approximately between Beech and Proctor streets:
- Southbound traffic will detour down Lincoln Street past the MetroWest Medical Center and onto Concord Street
- Northbound traffic will still use Union between Lincoln and Proctor streets
The city's contractor will be paving Union Avenue this week. Drivers should expect delays, especially during prime work hours between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Side streets including Henry, Lexington, Proctor, Pearl, Sanger, and William Welch Way may also close.
