David Baldwin: Investigation Updates After Missing Framingham Man's Body Found
An active investigation is underway after the body of David Baldwin was found near St. Andrew's Church Monday morning.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The search for a missing Framingham man ended with the worst possible news about less than a day's search Monday.
David W. Baldwin, who suffered from early onset dementia, was reported missing Sunday night, last seen at St. Andrew's Church on Maple Street. He was 53.
Police say they found his body Monday morning near the church.

Framingham officers searched the area around where Baldwin was last seen for hours, using its own resources as well as the Natick Police K-9 Unit andthe Massachusetts State Police air wing. In addition, police said, they posted to social media, sent an alert to other area departments and distributed a phone message alert to neighboring residents.
Around 11 a.m., a Framingham Police officer taking part in the search found Baldwin's body in the woods off Union Avenue.

Framingham Police, State Police, the Middlesex County District Attorney's office and the Medical Examiner’s Office are involved in the investigation. A cause of death has not yet been determined, according to Framingham Police.
In a statement released Monday evening, Framingham's Board of Selectmen and Town Manager expressed their sincere condolences to Baldwin's family and friends.
