Let’s greet the Framingham City Council as they arrive for their meeting with hundreds of Framingham faithfuls saying NO ALPRS!
Come standup in solidarity as we fend off mass surveillance! Let’s have the Councilors hear loud & clear, no ALPR (Automatic License Plate Readers) in our community.
Stay after the standout, as the full council will be meeting at 7 pm to discuss and possibly vote on an ordinance to regulate ALPR cameras.
ALPR technology does not prevent crime, nor make Framingham safer. Demand that the city councilors think critically about compromising the safety and privacy of residents for surveillance technology provided by any private company whose business makes money from the data they collect on us.
Don’t let the Council give a rubber-stamp the approval to the Framingham Police Department to purchase another ALPR vendor, just as they did in 2022!
