Candidate Showcase Being Held For Framingham Before Sept. Election

Meet your candidates, including those for mayor, in the Framingham election.

FRAMINGHAM, MA—The Framingham Unit of the League of Women Voters is holding a Candidate Showcase on Saturday, Sept. 9, from 1-4 p.m. at Nevins Hall located at 150 Concord St., Framingham, the group said in an announcement.

This preliminary election showcase opens with brief statements from the District Council Candidates. At-Large Councilor candidates then answer questions positions posed by a League of Women Voters moderator. The showcase closes with mayoral candidates answering questions asked by the moderator, continues the announcement.

The moderator asks the mayoral candidates questions composed by the Framingham Unit of the League of Women Voters as well as questions submitted by residents in advance. Questions from residents may be submitted for consideration until Sept. 1 via email to ShowcaseQuestions@gmail.com.

All mayoral candidates have confirmed their participation and 4 candidates for the two At-Large Councilor positions have confirmed participation. Twenty-one District Councilor candidates will be taking this opportunity to introduce themselves to the electorate. The Candidate Showcase will provide Framingham voters a chance to see and hear the candidates both in person and on Government Access TV prior to the Sept 26 preliminary election.
