Within in the last two weeks, owner Bill Rodenhiser has posted a You Tube Video and written a letter to customers to discuss the establishment's participation in a bar makeover television show with Spike TV.
His letter to customers new and old:
"In less than one week’s time we were transformed from The Chicken Bone into the BONE! Our loyal customers had already affectionately named us “The Bone” years ago so it is only fitting that our new name was, in reality, chosen by all of you.

From the surface our cosmetic changes may make it appear that we have thrown away our roots but nothing could be further from the truth.
Our mission is what it has always been; to provide you with great food and great live music in a comfortable environment. Our desire to improve was and is motivated by our commitment to you, our customer.

We were presented by Spike TV with a once in a lifetime opportunity to have leading experts in the restaurant/bar business go over our establishment with a fine tooth comb to determine in what areas we needed improvement. The owner, the management and the staff went through vigorous training, a mixologist gave us some new cocktail recipes, and a celebrity chef came and helped us to develop some new recipes. We agreed to take a leap of faith and allow changes to the physical appearance without our knowledge of what the end result would be. We also agreed to test out their idea of what our menu should be.
Now that the dust has settled we have added some of your favorite items back onto the menu where they should be. We have learned so much from the consultants and we will be forever grateful. But we have not forgotten who we are and who is important to us. The new menu has the best of the past and the best of the new and we invite you to try them all.
We are working to bring some of the old Bone personality back into the bright and airy space we now have. We appreciate your thoughts and input and realize that change is never easy and this was a really big change!
To all of you who are wondering if we allowed our mural to be painted over the answer is, No, the mural is a work of art commissioned by the owner. It was painted on panels that were attached to the wall and we are keeping it safe."
