Lockdown Lifted At Framingham High School: What To Know
A heightened police presence will continue until the end of the day, but the lockdown was lifted as of Friday afternoon.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham High School students are out of lockdown, but police will continue heightened patrols at the school through the end of the day, officials said.
Framingham police received information that a person waiting for the MWRTA bus outside of school property made a threatening statement about the school to someone walking by around 11 a.m.

The person got onto the bus, but has since been identified by police, Lt. Rachel Mickens said. The specifics of what was allegedly said and other details are currently under investigation, she added.
A letter was sent to parents sharing the news, which read:

"In working with the Framingham Police Department, we’ve received the ALL CLEAR at Framingham High School. School activities have resumed as normal. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be a continuation of police presence outside the high school for the remainder of the day."
Students at Framingham High School were told to stay in their classrooms due to a "community-based situation that Framingham First Responders are currently managing," according to a letter sent to parents around 11 a.m. on Friday.
Teachers were able to continue with their lessons, but the hallways were to be empty in the school.
