The Framingham Downtown Study is a collaboration of an MAPC-led team and the Town of Framingham to look at specific implementation strategies that build upon the vision adopted for Downtown in 2008/2009.
That vision called for renovating the historic buildings in the Downtown core, developing new mixed-use buildings to support jobs and housing in close proximity to public transportation, and creating a connected network of sidewalks and open space.

This Downtown Study will offer recommendations for how the town can move from a vision to implementation.
The open house will provide an opportunity for residents, businesses, and property owners in Framingham to share their opinions on how Downtown can be improved, and weigh in on the different strategies available for achieving the vision.
Staff from the project team and from the town will be available for the full three hours to answer questions and receive input from the community.
