Coronavirus Death At Framingham's Shillman House Seniors Complex
The senior living complex along Edmands Road is the site of a small coronavirus outbreak.
FRAMINGHAM, MA — A resident of the Shillman House senior housing complex in Framingham has died of complications due to coronavirus, the owners confirmed Friday morning.
Shillman House has been the site of a small outbreak with three residents sickened by the virus. The first infection was made public last Friday.
"We are heartbroken to share that one of the ill residents from Shillman House passed away at the hospital due to complications from COVID-19," 2Life Communities CEO Amy Schectman said in a statement. "This resident was a beloved member of our community, and our thoughts are with their family during this very difficult time. May their memory be for a blessing."

2Life Communities operates several housing complexes for seniors in Massachusetts. Apart from the three coronavirus cases at Shillman House, there are six residents sick with the virus at the Brighton complex, and one at the Golda Meir House in Newton, Schectman said.
As of Friday afternoon, Framingham's coronavirus death count stood at five, with a total of 179 cases. Of that total, 153 were still active on Friday.

Shillman House, located at 49 Edmands Road, is age-restricted to people over 62.
