Coronavirus: Where Students, Residents Can Get Food In Framingham

Framingham has set up a way for students to get fed during the school closure. Other groups are supporting hungry residents.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The closure of schools in Framingham due to the new coronavirus means that many students would miss out on meals the usually get in school. But the school district will still serve lunch for any student who needs it, officials said Saturday.

There are also food resources available for other residents who are experiencing a disruption during the coronavirus outbreak.

All students can pick up food beginning on March 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at these schools:

  • Cameron Middle School, 215 Elm St.
  • Barbieri Elementary School, 100 Dudley Road
  • Fuller Middle School, 31 Flagg Drive
  • Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, 169 Leland St.

Daniel's Table, 10 Pearl St.

Beginning March 17, food will be available Tuesdays and Fridays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.; and 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday nights. Call 508-405-0769.

The city's main food pantry is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; and 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Call 508-370-4921 and 774-200-3556 for information.

A Place To Turn, 99 Hartford St., Natick

Open Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. A Place To Turn is also working with the Framingham Housing Authority to deliver groceries to seniors. Call 508-655-8868.
