Deluxe Depot Diner Set To Open in December

The Framingham Building Department issued an occupancy permit this week to the long-awaited diner at the train station in downtown.

The Deluxe Depot Diner, in the former H.H. Richardson train station in downtown Framingham, is expected to open this month.

The Framingham Building Department issued an occupancy permit to the diner this week, said Framingham Town Manager Tuesday night at the Selectmen’s meeting.

Renovations have been ongoing for almost a year.

Framingham Patch broke the news of the diner coming to Framingham in March 2013.

The diner’s alcohol license is expected late this week or early next week, said Halpin.

The former train station has undergone a remarkable transformation under owner Don Levy, who also operates the Deluxe Station Diner in Newton and another diner in Watertown.

Halpin said residents can expect a soft opening, maybe as early as next week.

Framingham’s Deluxe Depot Diner will serve breakfast all day, plus tried and true diner favorites.
