DUI Checkpoint Happening Somewhere In Middlesex County
The weekend checkpoint could be anywhere across the county's 850 square miles.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — State police will mount a DUI checkpoint this weekend somewhere in Middlesex County.
The checkpoint will spring up somewhere across the county's 850 square miles sometime between Friday and Saturday. State police don't ever disclose the exact location or times to maintain the element of surprise.
The purpose is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways," state police said in a news release.

DUI checkpoints are typically funded by grants from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security.
