Early Release For Framingham Students Ahead Of Winter Storm
In addition to the early release, all afternoon activities are canceled at Framingham schools on Wednesday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Winter weather is predicted again for Framingham, prompting school officials to cancel afternoon activities and schedule an early release for students.
Framingham High School students, including the Thayer campus, will be released at 10:50 a.m. Middle school students will be released at 11:40 a.m. and elementary school students will be released at either 12:55 p.m. or 1:05 p.m.
BLOCKS students at Framingham High will be released at 12:15 p.m., while those students at Juniper Hill will be released at 11:15 a.m.

"Elementary parents, please make sure your child is met at their bus stop," said the district, in an announcement to parents.
"Kindergarten students will not be dropped off and will be returned to their school if there is not a parent, guardian, or older sibling at the bus stop. Parents or guardians will be expected to pick up any returned students immediately."

School and Central Office staff can also leave early, officials said.
Canceled afternoon activities include:
- After-school programs and clubs
- Athletics
- Fine & Performing Arts
- Late Buses
- BLOCKS Little Explorers

The new storm system will sweep across Massachusetts starting around noon Wednesday, dropping as much as 6 more inches of snow in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. The storm will also bring potentially high winds to the state, with a wind advisory in effect for the Cape and South Shore.
